The Eurail Global Pass Saver must be used over consecutive days (in other words, use the days or lose them). Should you want to visit countries that DO NOT border each other (say, Finland and Italy for instance) then this is the pass you'll need to purchase. It may seem a bit pricey, but you're buying all your tickets up front with the American dollar, which is a heck of a lot cheaper than the Euro. Plus, you don't have to wait on line to buy tickets or be a linguist who specializes in romance languages.
